National Alternative Fuels
Training Consortium

This three-day course helps participants develop an understanding of heavy-duty natural gas vehicles, on-board natural gas storage systems, and safety devices used to release stored fuel. The course covers both compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) systems.

The number of heavy-duty vehicles powered by alternative fuels is growing every year. Mandates such as the Energy Policy Act of 1992 require most large fleets to include alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) in ever-growing numbers. Therefore AFV technicians need to know everything that is currently applicable to heavy duty vehicles, along with new technologies to work with AFV fueling systems.
